The second time we played with it the ink seemed to be drying out. By the third time the ink was pretty much gone. I would recommend fewer colors, with a larger pad area. Even with my five year old the colors were getting mixed on occasion because the pad was small. I was impressed with how good the stampers were designed for small hands and quality of the wood, but was disappointed that after opening the box and only a few minutes of play the ink seemed to be not so moist and almost dry with some of the colors.. I tried adding water so we could use the set but it didn't work either. They open a world in which families or the adult may create a job for themselves. Wish you had more stamps, more complex stamps all with handles.
