A fine, white powder with neutral flavor, potato starch is well-suited for use in both sweet & savory dishes. An excellent binder, it is a common thickener for sauces & stews and creates baked goods with a moist, springy texture. Naturally gluten free, potato starch is a great substitute to cornstarch for those with corn allergies.

Directions
Suggested Uses: To use as a thickener, first dissolve starch in a small amount of water to create a slurry; then add to sauce and stir until thickened. Potato starch loses its thickening ability when boiled, so it is best added near the end of cooking time in hot dishes. Add to baked goods (especially gluten free) for better texture and binding. For optimal shelf life, store in a cool, dry place.Free OfGluten, GMOs.
