The VAG 409.1 USB Interface is a high performance diagnostics and reprogramming tool compatible with the ISO 9141 and KWP2000 communication protocols for most Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat vehicles and utilizes a high-speed USB 2.0 connection to your computer.

<br />How to Use
<br />1. Download the shareware 409.1 from CD to your computer;
<br />2. Run it and follow the prompts to allow it to install itself;
<br />3. Connect the interface between the PC and the car by plugging one end of the interface into a Serial (RS232) (or USB port) on your PC and the other end directly into the OBD-II port present in all 1996 and newer VW/Audi passenger vehicles;
<br />4. Turn the car's ignition switch ON, but do not start the engine;
<br />5. Start the software program, click  Options , select the correct communications port. Use  Test  to confirm that the program can use the port and find the interface. Then  Save .
