We did not get 5 full minutes of playtime when this truck stopped working. When it did work, we had to place the remote extremely close to the truck and all controls did not work. My husband even commented on how less expensive R/C vehicles like this didn't even come close to the speed or power of this one when he was a kid. It's had more indoor use so far, but surprisingly, our son was able to drive it through some soggy grass and a little bit of snow that was on the ground.
