Diffrenciation of Natural and chemical hair color:
Hair colors made from plant ingredients do NOT penetrate into the hair shaft i.e. completely safe. They color your hair by just coating color pigments on the outer layer of the hair. While chemical hair colors penetrate the hair shaft and deposit the color in the inside of the hair.
Direction:Use some Vaseline around your hairline so that the henna's color does not get onto your forehead. Take a small portion of your hair and then apply henna to that portion. Wind the hair portion in one direction tightly. Take another portion of hair, apply henna, and wind the second hair portion in the opposite direction. Do it same process for remaining hair.Due to the winding, you do not need clip for hair.wear a shower cap to make sure the color is not transferred here and there. Keep the at least 2 to 3 hours and then wash it using lukewarm water. It is advisable not to use shampoo or a conditioner.
