The Japanese waterstone maker NANIWA, based in Osaka, is known for making the best honing stones. Naniwa sharpening and honing stones, in terms of hardness, lie between the Cerax and Chosera stones (more closer to the Cerax), and in use they have a very pleasant feel. One can almost sense the blade becoming sharper as one works.
