Phone/Tablet charging: Hub does not provide special charging functionality, and only devices which accept 500mA singnaling will charge when attached to the USB-A ports. iOS devices (like iPhones/iPads) attached to the USB-A ports may not charge, but can sync when attached to hub. Apple notes: Some devices such as the Apple SuperDrive look for Apple-specific signaling and will not work when connected through any USB hub
