About the author
Born in Gifu Prefecture in 1880.
It grows up as a wealthy and complicated family, and then falls down the house.
He graduated from the department of Western painting department of Tokyo Art School.
Aoki rebounded to his classmate.
Living in his hometown for six years in his thirties with the death of his mother, I experience the work of Nikko (Hyou) who transports the trees harvested in the mountains at the river sink.
From around 1938, it shifted to a unique expression by outline and plane, and builds a style that is superficious in modern Japanese movies.
From living close to nature and its appearance, it is called "Sennin" and attracts many cultural people such as living style, works, books and so on.
At the age of 87, he declined a job offer of the Order of Culture.
It was a lifetime with a free spirit that transcended the values of the world, but I just wanted to enjoy my time freely.
In 1977, died at the age of 97.
Home trace will be Toshima Ward Kumagai Moriichi Art Museum.
In September 2015, the Kumagai Mamoru Tsushimichi Memorial Hall was opened in Akichi-cho, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture.
