It's made from a blend of thick neoprenes; UltraFlex DS provides killer mobility and stretch, while SmoothSkin FluidFlex Firewall serves up the insulation you need to thrive in icy breaks. And it's joined together with glued and blind-stitched seams that keep water out and boost durability to the max.
The seams are bombproof, but O'Neill carefully kept them out of key flex areas, providing strategic seamless paddle zones that make paddling out a smooth and pain-free process. The back is also seam free (O'Neill calls it LSD?Lumbar Seamless Design), and the Krypto knee pads provide increased flexibility and mobility for your lower half. As a cold-weather suit, it's important for the Epic to prevent flushing, so O'Neill hooked up a snug but adjustable Double Super Seal neck and glued-in Blackout zipper, which is backed by a waterproof panel that prevents water from sneaking through the zipper and into the suit, so you stay warm even when the winter waves are rolling over you.
