They looked like they might be comfortable and I liked the flirty patterns. I never knew you could wear panties without getting a wedgie at the same time, unless you wore the more bootie-short style. I even tried finding alternative brands and styles, but these are the only ones that don't crawl up. I think it has something to do with the lace on the edges. Also, because they aren't restrictive with elastic bands on the edges, you don't get pressure lines on your skin from wearing them, and they won't show seem lines under your clothes. If you have a petite but curvy figure like myself, then you'll probably like them for the same reasons. They run bigger than what I'm used to, and a 5 is the smallest size available, which actually is just right for a 25" curvy waist with 34" hips. These actually fit quite well, and although they are lace trimmed, it doesn't show through clothes. They also come in neutral colors, but I do have several pairs in a variety of colors and prints.
