Product Description

Am-500 Digital multimeters amprobe am-500 Digital Multimeter is designed for in home repair and electrical testing applications including verification of presence of Voltage in electrical sockets, extension cords, batteries and other electrical circuits up to 600V. It is a must have tool for projects including installation, troubleshooting or repair of light fixtures, fans or appliances. DC ranges of Voltage and current are included to help with automotive diagnostics of electrical system. The battery Test feature checks the amount of charge remaining in standard 1.5V and 9V batteries. Micro amps function to troubleshoot flame sensors used in gas appliances. Designed for home repair and electrical testing the meter comes with a set of detachable Test leads. The hold function keeps a reading on the display, even after the meter is disconnected. An audible continuity sensor confirms that the circuit conducts electricity, and a diode Test detects whether the circuit''s diodes work properly. An Auto power-off mode turns off the unit after 15 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life, and a low-battery indicator signals when the meter''s batteries need to be replaced. This auto-ranging meter automatically selects the correct operating range for the property being measured. The meter has a 2,000-count (3-1/2 digit) liquid crystal display (LCD) that can display up to 1,999 units before the operating range needs to be changed. It meets international electro technical commission (IEC) Safety standard 61010 and is certified for category III installations up to 600V (which covers items used with enclosed building circuit installations, such as service panel parts, branch circuits, and fixed installations that are connected directly to a building''s AC power supply).
