This is a PID temperature controller. There's 1 relays on this controller. It's ONLY can be used for Resistance HEATING Application. NO COOLING Mode.

HOW PID WORKS: The PID function uses system feedback to continuously control a dynamic process. The purpose of PID control is to keep a process running as close as possible to a desired temperature. It doesn't mean the temp will stay at a point statically. The temp might fluctuate in a range such as 99.8~100.1, 99.5~100.2. The range is determined by real application environment and power of heater as well as how well you set the controller.

Note: Function of d, P, dT in this controller are similar with P(proportional), I(integral), d(derivative) in traditional PID controller. But they're not 100% the same in inner algorithm because it's optimized for easier operation and more accurate control.
