Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is leading cause of blindness in adults over 40. Macular degeneration interferes with the eyes’ retinal function, leaving only a margin of peripheral vision. Such blindness can effectively interfere with the ability to read or do fine work.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoid pigments found naturally in the eyes and in certain plants. Supplementation with Extra Strength Lutein with Zeaxanthin from webber naturals may protect the fragile eye from free radical and sun damage.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are protective carotenoids, the same pigment class as beta-carotene and they absorb harmful blue light, especially from exposure to the sun. Cataracts are caused by solar damage to the lens proteins of the eyes. The lens can also accumulate lutein to prevent cataracts and it has been found that when there is a high level of lutein in the macula, there is a reduced incidence of cataracts.

This Webber Naturals antioxidant supplement contains 20 mg of lutein plus 860 mcg of the carotenoid zeaxanthin, to support healthy vision.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Softgel (gelatin, purified water, glycerin, annatto, titanium dioxide), soybean oil, yellow beeswax, lecithin.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
One to three capsules per day, or as directed by a physician. Take with a meal containing fat/oil since the lutein component is strictly fat-soluble.
