Product Description
The Satechi BT Smart Pointer controls media on Bluetooth-enabled computers, iOS devices, & Apple TV3. This remote enhances presentations or navigates iOS with the Smart Pointer:s Accessibility Mode.
Bluetooth 3.0
The Smart Pointer supports Bluetooth 3.0 HID, Class II profile. It:s compatible with iOS devices & any computer with Bluetooth, as well as Apple TV3.
Presentation Mode
The Smart Pointer works with a variety of presentation programs including Keynote & Powerpoint. Presentation Mode & the built-in laser pointer enhance presentations: advance & jump to slides within the presentation. This mode also controls Apple TV3.
Accessibility Mode
Accessibility Mode browses/opens apps & navigates through Keynote slides & iBooks pages on an iOS device. Enable VoiceOver in iOS Accessibility settings to use this feature.
Multimedia Mode
Multimedia Mode controls media playback: increase/decrease volume, start/stop movies & songs, & fastforward, rewind, skip tracks on a Bluetooth-enabled computer or iOS device.
Camera Remote Shutter
In Multimedia Mode, the volume up button triggers the Camera app to take a photo. Place the iPhone on a stand & snap a blur-free shot. It:s perfect for group shots so everyone:s included!
iOS 7 update:The BT Smart Pointer functions with iOS7, but the home button doesn:t toggle voiceover on/off. To toggle voiceover on/off, press the home button 3 times or activate Siri by holding down the home button on the remote, then ask Siri to turn voiceover on/off. Voiceover must be on to use the Smart Pointer with Keynote on iPad.
Keynote 2.0 update:The BT Smart Pointer won:t work in Keynote 2.0 on an iOS device when connected to an external monitor or using AirPlay. Using the BT Smart Pointer directly on an iOS device, elements on the slide will be highlighted. Slides can still be advanced. We have contacted Apple to resolve this issue & await a response.
