An ultra-lightweight, high-performance option for ultra-racing, trail running, or fast-and-light hiking and backpacking, Swix Sonic Pro Trail Carbon poles feature tactile cork grips and carbon construction. A 'foldable' design enables the poles to pack down to just over 15' in length. Rather than telescoping like traditional trekking poles, Sonic Pro Trail Carbon poles utilize a strong, lightweight internal cord and extend solidly into their full, fixed length by simply aligning the sections and pulling until the 'click' confirms that the upper section has locked. To collapse the poles, simply press on the small release lock and refold the pole shaft sections. Integrated Velcro straps hold the collapsed sections together. High-grade carbon fiber construction excellently balances weight and strength, enabling the poles to weigh in at roughly 12 ounces per pair. Small diameter Trail baskets help to deflect debris and keep the pole tips from sinking too deeply into soft ground. Natural, ergonomic cork grips serve as tactile handholds. An extended EVA foam portion at the bottom of the handle lets you 'choke up' on side hill traverses to improve efficiency and help maintain balance. Integrated webbed straps help to reduce stress on your wrists. The soft material of the straps feels great next-to-skin and built-in adjustability lets you personalize fit.
