Deep red, crimson rim. Familial, distinctly Penfolds. A retro wine refurbed in a moder n mould. Raspberry/vanillin/chocolate/yoghurt aromatics impatiently leap from the glass. Oak? Yes, but ever so courteous! Youthful. Masses of fruit. Balanced, fresh, lush. Multi-dimensional - beneath a veneer of youth there awaits much more ... Patience. To sign off: pronounced chewy tannins and lively acidity, conveyed by a judicious 12-month rental of oak.

Amber-brown with a dark red rim. The nose is lifted with an attractive mix of dried fruit, vanilla, caramel and a touch of nutty aged rancio complexity. The palate is rich and vibrant displaying ripe spicy fruit, toffee and walnuts framed by smoky oak with a lifted cleansing finish.
