MOXIBUSTION:
Moxibustion has been used throughout Asia for thousands of years. It was discovered by ancient people when they sat down around a fire. They found that the heat not only kept them warm but also relieved physical pains. Later, they started to use moxa leaves for the same purpose. Today, in the treatment moxa leaves are ignited over certain points on the skin's surface. The intention is to warm up the body, invigorate the flow of Yang Qi in the body, dredge the?meridian and eliminate pathogenic factors. Moxa is extracted from natural dried Chinese mugwort (Artemisia argyi). The older the mugwort, the better results.

?Severe concurrent conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, cardiac disorders etc.
?Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive disease such as AIDS, or on immunosuppressive medications.
?Any disease stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex (within the treatment area).
?Any active skin condition within the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema etc.
