The decorative natural stone tile inset creates a stylish pedestal for your plant, vase or figurine (you can even replace the decorative stone tile with any standard 12x12 inch tile to fit your room's decor). The digital humidistat features an LCD screen and the front pour-in design uses a convenient fill-door for easy filling of the humidifier's 3.5 gallon reservoir. This powerful unit adds invisible moisture to your home by moving dry air through a saturated wick. Proper humidity in your home is proven to help prevent the spread of viruses such as influenza. The moisture created by the EP9 700 works to alleviate dry skin and allergy symptoms caused by dust and dander. Using an evaporative system and unheated, natural, evaporated water, this humidifier requires less energy than warm mist or steam units. You also won't have to deal with white dust, spray, or mist on furniture or floors. Other benefits of the evaporative system include: relief from symptoms of dry skin, itchy eyes, chapped lips and scratchy throat; it prevents plants and furniture from becoming overly dry; and reduced static electricity protects computers and electronics. The EP9700 is also compatible with optional Remote Control 1999 (sold separately) which allows you to remotely monitor and adjust humidifier controls.
