Please note the female wire sockets DO REQUIRE crimping. It can be done with some of the dual purpose wire stripper/crimping tools, a dedicated crimping tool, or with a small set of needle nose pliers. Vehicle manufacturers never populate all 16 pins of the J1962 connector, but we include 16 sockets for the housing since that is the maximum it could contain. In most cases you will only need 5-8 of them.
