I cannot think of any reason why this would have occurred other than blatant oversight. Because there are plenty of other glockenspiels out there similar to this one, I don't see why anyone would get this one, especially if one's goal is to teach associations of sounds to particular musical notations. Otherwise, very pleased. Clean look, minimal plastic, decent sound quality for the price. The lady bug one is the only one that does but the hammers (antennae) are so oversized, they clunk the notes. For my general, simplistic music play , this works but a bit out of tune.
