WoundClot is a sterile bioabsorbable medical gauze of the use-up type, made from regenerated cellulose.
For bleeding control, there are various shapes according to the type of wound.
WoundClot is a water soluble gauze of cellulose structure.
It is used for hemostasis of outbreak blood such as shallow scratches, light cuts and abrasions, it is the best gauze for treatment at home.
When gauze is applied to the bleeding site, the molecular structure of the gauze changes to form a gelatinous thin film structure.
The formed tissue adheres to the wound and becomes a mechanical obstacle and immediately reduces blood flow.
A special gel of gauze creates a hydration power between the mucosa layer and the gauze, physical attraction occurs, and the gauze adheres to the skin tissue.
In proportion to the high blood pressure of the wound, the physical attraction is also strengthened.
Next, platelets flowing out from the wound by the intermolecular force adhere to the gauze, forming a stable membrane in the wound.
By doing so, you can suppress the flow of severe arterial blood and venous blood for several hours.
With this gauze, you can dramatically reduce bleeding from the wound.
WoundClot's liquid absorption capacity exceeds 2,500 times its gauze weight.
A special group of molecules created in the manufacturing process disperse during gel formation and activate various coagulation factors in the blood.
In other words, it physiologically helps the naturally forming fibrin clot in the wound.
After hemostasis, the remaining membrane is safe to remove from the wound without leaving soft tissues and lumps of blood in the wound at the wound.
Just like a lump of blood removed without hurting, you can easily remove the wound lumps, if possible remove it too.
Since WoundClot is the only hemostatic gauze, pressure on the wound is not required from above the gauze.
