






RECIPE IDEA ! STEAMED OYSTERS WITH BEAN VERMICELLI & GARLIC

Ingredients:
15 meaty oysters (the meat shrinks after they are cooked)
15 cloves of garlic
75 gr bean vermicelli
2 tbsp of oyster sauce
2 tbsp of light soya sauce
0.5 tsp of sugar
1 spring onion
Vegetable/ cooking oil
Soften the bean vermicelli by soaking it in hot water for 15 min. Meanwhile mince the garlic and fry it in vegetable oil until golden. Take it off the gas and mix in the oyster sauce, soya sauce, sugar. Drain the vermicelli and add 2 tablespoons of the sauce mixture. Stir well.
Clean the oysters. Place the oysters in a steam tray with cupped side facing down. Bring the water to a boil and steam the oysters for 3 min. You will see that the oysters have opened up (or they open the moment you lift them out). Take the oysters and remove their top shells. Scoop a dollop of the vermicelli on each oyster and top it off with a teaspoon of the sauce mixture. Steam the oysters for another 5-7 minutes. Cut a bunch of spring onion and sprinkle over each oyster. Heat up a cup of oil and pour 1 teaspoon over each oyster. Serve them while they are hot!
