The Brown & Sharpe 599-9400-2009 hardened steel center head helps easily locate and indicate the center location of round and square objects. The removable V-shaped head attaches to a combination square set blade (sold separately), where it is used to draw centers. The center head is one component of a combination square set, which are multipurpose sets that include removable heads attached to blade.
The 599-9400-2009 center head is made from hardened steel for strength and durability. It can be moved to any position along the blade, depending on the line length needed, and is clamped in place with a locking knob located near the point of the head’s V shape. The knob is knurled for easy grip.
