The brush is much thicker than most of my mascaras. I was very worried that it would cause major clumping issues BUT, I was wrong. I'm very impressed with this mascara ! Immediately makes my lashes look longer and thicker and lasts all day , and on a few nights I have even forgotten to wash my eye make up off and it was still there the next day when I woke up , not even smudged! No clumps at all for me! I've had several of my friends go out and buy this after seeing the difference it made it for me . I went out and bought one to keep in my car, one to keep in my bathroom at home, and one to keep in my bag at work !
