天使のような“ふわふわ”した軽快で柔らかな香り

綿はアオイ科の低木であるコットンの木から取れる天然の繊維です。50種あるコットンの木の中でも、4種だけから種の周りにボール状の白い繊維が取れます。バルバドスで取れるコットンは世界で最も美しい綿糸です。その花と果実は“カプセル”と呼ばれ、天使のような白いふわふわしたつぼみに花が咲きます。その香りは壊れやすく純粋なイメージがあります。

Cotton is a natural fiber from the cotton plant, a shrub of the Malvaceae family.Of the fifty species of cotton plants, only four are harvested for the white fibersthat grow in bolls around its seeds. Among them, the Gossypium barbadense, fromBarbados, boasts the most beautiful cotton threads in the world. Its flowers andfruits called “capsules”, blossom into an angelical white downy bud. The scent ofcotton is fragile and pure.
