The STANDARD cartridge is made of a high-quality, phenol-free dense sponge. It ensures excellent mechanical filtration of water in the tank to keep it crystal-clear. In addition, the sponge provides an excellent habitat for the bacteria required for the biological filtration of water. Recommended for use in aquariums of all types.

The CARBOMAX replaceable filter cartridges contain sponge that has been saturated with activated carbon. They combine all the advantages of the STANDARD cartridges with the action of activated carbon. For this reason, they are especially recommended in the following cases:
• to condition water in newly set-up aquariums so that it is adapted to the needs of fish;
• to remove from the water any toxic residue after fish have received medication;
• to eliminate water discolouration due to the presence of roots and wood. etc.

The PHOSMAX replaceable filter cartridges contain sponge that has been saturated with a phosphate absorbing agent. They combine all the advantages of the STANDARD cartridges with efficient chemical absorption of phosphates. Recommended for:
• densely populated aquariums;
• tanks with live-bearing fish (such fish produce a lot of waste products);
• tanks with the algae problem.

It is recommended that CARBOMAX and PHOSMAX cartridges be replaced every 30 days. By using the cartridges, you will avoid the need for wearisome cleaning of the filter, and its maintenance will become fast, easy, and pleasant.
