Modostuc is a professional quality wood filler that also achieves excellent results on ceramic, porcelain and walls. It allows for accurate color restoration of damage to new and antique wood and ceramic items. It is often used by art conservators in the reconstruction of missing parts of frames and woodworks and even sculptures. Modostuc can be treated with finish varnishes for a perfect finish. It remains water soluble for easy cleanup and does not crack. Thicker areas can be built up with successive applications as needed. Modostuc is a dense putty material with very little shrinkage after drying. Modostuc paste is a PVA binder with calcium carbonate filler. It can be thinned with water, ethyl alcohol or acetone. Ethyl alcohol and acetone can be used for cleanup. If Modostuc dries out, it can be revitalized by adding more water. Compatible with wood, stone, ceramic, porcelain and other substrates.
