Review

I have dry mouth. Plus when I sleep my mouth slacks open and that makes me a mouth breather when asleep. Not a good combination. I use dry moth gel, and dry mouth mints. Both help, but I still suffered. Started to put a small pillow under my chin to keep my lips together. Then I found THE MOUTH STRAP. The most wonderful invention of all! Put it on and your lips stay together. Easy to sleep in. Comfortable. Could not possible say enough good things. Once it is on you do not even feel it. LOVE!!!!

Side effects of breathing through the mouth
When a person breathes through their mouth, dust, soot, germs, small insects, cold and dry air, even toxic gases can enter the body without any filtration. This can be very detrimental to your health, and can lead to snoring and sleep apnea. Moreover, breathing through the mouth deprives the lungs of oxygen and can cause a loss of concentration, sexual dysfunction, growth disorders, memory loss, chronic fatigue, stroke, dry mouth, vocal chords damage, facial deformity and a variety of other ill health outcomes.

Advantages of breathing through your nose
Breathing through nose is vital to healthy living. The Nose provides filtration, sterilization, humidification or dehumidification, and warming of the air breathed in to protect the lungs. It also protects the body from harmful gases allows for the lungs to extract the maximum amount of oxygen from inhaled air.

Note
1. This product is not a medical device. People who suffer from chronic shortness of breath, should not only breathe through their nose. Also people that have a severe snoring problem, or suffer from other medical conditions such as sleep apnea, asthma, heart disease, stroke, or hypertension should consult with a physician.
2. Do not sleep on your stomach while wearing the Mouth Strap. Rather, sleep on your back.
3. If worn too tight to the face, it can cause discomfort, especially to the ears.
Looking in the mirror will also help you find a comfortable and effective fit. With a fine tuned adjustment, you should be able to achieve both a comfortable and effective fit.
4. This product is intended to prevent the opening of the mouth involuntarily and will not force the mouth to shut even when one wants to open it consciously.
Therefore, in the event that a stuffy nose forces you to open your mouth, the lip holder will come undone and will allow the person to breath through their mouth if it is absolutely needed.
5. If the product comes off the face through improper use or violent tossing and turning during sleep, that does not constitute a defect in the product and does not qualify as reasons for return and/or refund.
