They were the best electric razors we've ever owned. Just this year, 2015, we decided they were not giving us the close shave they had when new, so we ordered these replacement heads. We choose not to use the charging bases to clean the razors (too much bother keeping the cleaning chamber clean and replacing the fluids), but instead dip the heads in detergent water and run for a few seconds. Get's the whole head completely clean. Once again we are getting the closest shaves we've ever gotten without a razor blade and lather. My beard grows in every direction, so most other razors leave "rough patches". The razors hold their charge the same as they did when they were new and we think we may never need to buy new ones! I've never had a razor that lasted more than 2-3 years before replacement was needed. The shaver base still works well, keeping a charge almost as well as when new. I get a lot of mileage out of the foil and blades...maybe a bit too much, as it has been two years since the last order. It is quiet and out of one charge I get about 35 minutes (seven days at 5 minutes per day) of shaving time. Two things that could be better: most other shavers I used worked also by plugging them into an electric outlet. This one works only from the battery - so if you don't watch it, you may wind up with a dead shaver and you have to plug it in to get a few minutes of shaving time. The other: it signals you when you need to change the blades and the shaving head.
