Review for ASICS Noosa FF 2

Made as a lightweight, triathlon specific performance shoe, the ASICS Noosa FF has specialized grip technologies that are designed to cut down your time in the transition zone while delivering a fast underfoot feel for the run. With their second iteration, the Noosa FF 2, designers left the midsole and outsole design unchanged to focus on improving the comfort and drainage of the upper.

As with the previous version, the Noosa FF 2 features a FlyteFoam midsole for a light and springy underfoot feel. The outsole design is also identical to that of its predecessor and features multiple compounds for specialized grip. The outer ring on the forefoot generates more grip on the roads, while the center of the forefoot features ASICS’ WET GRIP outsole for improved traction in wet conditions like the transition zone.

History of ASICS

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan.
He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body."

Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness.
