Organic Slippery Elm Bark

 Ulmus rubra

Kosher certified

The slippery elm tree is found in North America. It is a deciduous tree native to the eastern half of the United States. Slippery elm flowers from March to May, bearing bright red clusters of fruit, but it is the bark that is often ground into a fine powder. The tree has a thick, reddish-brown outer bark, which may be deeply furrowed, and a whitish inner bark, which is the one people grind into a powder. Starwest Botanicals
