The remote control is powered by a three-volt CR2025 lithium battery.

RM-S1 replaces SONY RMT-DSLR1 and RM-DSLR2 remote commander.

With this remote you can shoot images using the shutter release option or with a two second shutter release option.

Using the start/stop button you are able to control movie recording. (Can only be used if the camera supports movie recording)
