Pro-Arte Composite 3rd strings are not wound - but rather plain composite material which is thiner in diameter than standard nylon - but offers a nice tonal balance between the other trebles and the wound strings. All Pro-Arte treble strings are measured by a sophisticated computer controlled laser which performs consistency and quality checks - insuring true sounding trebles in every set.
