    Fosmon's HDMI Audio Return Channel Optical Extractor enables displays that support HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) to connect with older AV receiver equipment that do not support ARC. In ARC mode， the converter extracts the digital audio signal from the HDMI ARC enabled display and outputs it to the S/PDIF Optical TOSLINK port.

    Extract Audio from the ARC Supported Display
    This extractor allows you to use your optical sound system with your HDMI ARC-enabled HDTV. Set the device in ARC mode， and connect the HDTV to this extractor (make sure an HDMI ARC port is used) along with the optical sound system.

    ARC Extraction / HDMI Pass-through Mode
    The button switches between two modes: ARC extraction mode， and HDMI pass-through mode. In HDMI pass-through mode， an input device will be able to connect to the HDTV， without having to use up a valuable HDMI port on the HDTV.

    Note:
    HDTVs require HDMI ARC support to use this extractor.
    The Optical output port does not output audio from the HDMI input port. It extracts the audio signal from the HDMI output port (sent by the ARC enabled HDMI port on the TV).
    This device does not pass-through the HDMI audio from the Input Device to the optical port. High-Speed HDMI Cables are required. TOSLINK does not support Dolby Digital Plus. Please change the input source's audio output to a different setting， if needed.
