When we first opened in our home, and tried it, we were satisfied because our home was quiet. Once we set up in the car and pushed play, due to the road noise of the car (windows were up, just basic road noise-(we own a 2012 Ford Escape), the movie playing for our child was very hard to hear. She is only 2 years old so she is still too young to understand to use ear phones. The sole purpose of these DVD player screens was to keep her entertained while on a long trips, this clearly will not cut it because she cannot hear in a car.
