Product Description Teak is the most sought after wood in the world based on its durability and weather proofing natural oil within the wood. Though many South East Asian countries grow teak trees, Indonesia is the world's market place for the best quality of teak wood. Teak plantations are run and safely maintained by the Indonesian government as it is one of their most treasured assets. Once a teak tree is cut, the government replaces it with a new sapling. Teak plantations are always active, however once the 40 to 100 year old tree is cut, the roots are left to deteriorate over the next 1000 years or taken to be ground and burned. Our resourceful Indonesian team goes in to plantations and gathers the waste from government controlled Indonesian teak plantations. 0
