Or perhaps one might say a vegan by necessity, rather than by choice. Due to some health issues, I voluntarily put myself on a vegan diet 2 months ago. As an active person, a normal breakfast for me would usually involve a protein drink or smoothie. I purchased several different vegan protein mixes, and after comparing them side by side, the Vegan Smart is superior to all the others in overall nutritional value. My usual recipe for a morning drink is two scoops of VeganSmart Vanilla, two tablespoons ground flaxseed, two teaspoons unprocessed cocoa powder, added to 10-14 oz. water in a high speed blender. Does it taste like a decadent chocolate shake? Honestly, not really. But it's tasty enough, and it really does keep my body and brain alert well into the afternoon. And the medical issues that doctors and specialists were not able to solve have been largely alleviated by my change in diet.
