Although it is quite a bit smaller than the trimmer it replaces, the small size does not affect the results I get when I use it. I like that I can supply and replace my own batteries. They are the weakest link in all previous trimmers I have owned. This one will last a me a long time, because I can replace the batteries when they get bad. I use rechargeables, with a separate charger. ? I'd prefer a slightly longer longest setting, I think this is 15mm, I think my old one was 18mm. ? The oiler bottle tip is way too large. You really need a needle-style oiler to get the small areas that need lubrication without getting oil everywhere.
