2. What does the button on the smart plug do?
It has 2 functions. Manual On/Off and to reset the smart plug
a. To on/off, just do a short press
b. To reset, press and hold the button for 3-4s.
3. Why does the smart plug makes no response when plug into power point?
The smart plug after being electrified or reset to default needs about 20s to restore its normal operation,
during which the blue indicator light will be on constantly.
4. How to add the smart plug to the mobile phone and how to control it?
a. Plug the smart plug in the power point and wait for about 20s (with the blue indicator light always on) till the blue indicator light begins to blink slowly.
In case the blue light failed to blink slowly, please do a long press of the button for about 4s to reset is to default and wait for 20s.
b.
1. For ios:-
Click "setting" and then "WLAN" to connect iOS device to OK_SP3 from the smart plug in the Wifi signal list; Check if the connection is succesful.
2. For android:-
Go to 2c.
c. Enter "Client configuration" page, select an internet connected signal from the "Wifi" box, input Wifi signal password into the "password" box and then click "configuration starts".
d. The smart plug will initially blink slowly and then fast blink and finally the blue indicator light will goes off meaning that the configuration is successful.
e. Enter "client device" page, you will find the configured smart plug in "device list" and then complete the addition of the smart plug by modifying its name and icon. It is now available for your operation.
f. Smart plug currently support connection on WEP, WPA mode. WPS is currently not supported.
5. Why does the new device occasionally suffer from failure?
a. Check the network connection of the Wifi
b. Confirm the Wifi password
c. If only configuration end prompt rather than configuration success prompt is given, with the blue indicator light off after the completion of the configuration, please confirm whether your mobile phone has been connected to the newly configured Wifi signal and then check whether there is a newly added device in the "device list".
d. If fails, please long press the button located on the smart plug for 4s, return to default and start again.
Direct mode means direct connection between the smart plug and mobile phone, making close operation of the smart plug. Remote control is unavailable for smart plug in direct mode as there is no Wifi connected
7. How to configure direct mode?
a. Direct mode setting of iOS device
First, refer to the steps a and b of question 4 to connect it to OK_SP3 and then click "enter direct mode" on the "client configuration" page to complete the procedures. If you want to operate smart plug, please connect the iOS device to the Wifi signal (OK_SP3_xxxxxx) from your mobile phone.
b. Direct mode setting of Android
Click "enter configuration" page" and then click smart plug in the "device list" to complete addition
8. Client control of smart plug is only avaliable around it?
No. You can connect to your smart plug any time, any where, as long as you are connected to 3G/4G or Wifi.
9. Why does it display offline and online alternately?
"Offline" indicates the smart plug is unable to connect. It may result from Wifi disconnection to the smart plug, weak or unavailable signal. Please check Wifi connection or reboot your router. "Online" means the smart plug is connectable and available normally.
10. Does the client support multiple smart plugs control?
Yes, the client supports unlimited smart plugs control.
11. How to differentiate and control multiple smart plugs at home?
You can modify their icons and names on "device" interface to realise different control
12. Does any phone installed with client able to control your smart plug?
Don't worry, it doesn't. Nobody can get your smart plug without your Wifi password. In additional, you can set an access password for your smart plug during configuration.
13. How many timing tasks can be set at most?
8 timing tasks at most per hour
14. What's the Wifi repeater function of smart plug?
Repeater function is a characteristic of the smart plug which can extend Wifi signal coverage and strength by properly positioning smart plug so as to realise full coverage of Wifi signal all over your home. The function is unavailable with Direct mode.
15. How to operate charging protection?
While a smart plug is used to charge a mobile phone, it is able to automatically stop charging upon full charge. As a result, it brings about power and energy savings, increase of service life for your mobile phone battery, and elimination of potential safety hazard. Charging protection can be activated only when the smart plug is plugged to charge the mobile phone.
