The CO2 cartridge is removed and NOT included.  This item is shipped WITHOUT the CO2 cartridge that is considered hazardous material.   Sports cyclists use 16g cartridges in a similar little pump， you just have to make sure you buy the \'un-threaded\' variety， they are for sale in any big bicycle or sporting goods store.  You can get them in bulk on ebay and they are exactly the same.
