Lowa''s C4 tongue is made with fifteen different pieces to give it a more natural, forward-flexing feel with each step, while the addition of nylon shanks in the heel and forefoot add to the boot''s overall stability. For the sole, Lowa went with a Vibram Tactis DST rubber with a tread pattern that will bite on everything from packed-out trails below treeline to loose scree in the high mountains.
