If our headlamp gets dim, you just throw 3 new AA batteries in it and you're good to go! If a rechargeable headlamp is dim and you want to use it… oh well. Plug it in and go find another headlamp. We suggest the Lighthouse Beacon 1000. Also - Regular batteries last a LOT longer than rechargeable ones. Kind of important when you're walking through a dark forest.
