CRC Cable Clean RD is a chlorinated solvent-based cleaner for the removal of contaminants from high voltage cables. It offers effective cleaning action with the benefits of non-flammability, no residue and fast evaporation. It contains no known ozone depleting chemicals. Recommended for removal of dirt, adhesives, silicones, anti-oxidation compounds and other contaminants from semi-conductive cores of high voltage cables when splicing and terminating cables. Evaporates fast - no rinsing or wiping required. Leaves no residue - eliminates wiping of excess solvents before re-insulating to minimize cleaning time. Non-flammable - significantly reduces the risk of fire caused by incidental contact with live electrical equipment, increasing user safety and allowing Cable Clean RD to be substituted for 1, 1, 1-Trichloroethane products. No class I or II ozone depleting chemicals - offers superior performance while complying with the EPA regulations on the use of ozone depleting compounds.
