The workout tool you can use anywhere, anytime. The SPRI Quick Select Xertube is an inter-changeable resistance band system allowing the user to switch resistance bands effortlessly in three easy steps. The resistance bands/tubes are created using a "dipped process" rather than the more common and inexpensive "extruded process" ? making it one of the most durable and reliable tubes on the market. In fact, SPRI tubing is the professional’s choice and is preferred by instructors, clubs, and health club members. All SPRI rubber resistance products are made using Tuff Tube, a SPRI exclusive. This heavy-duty, high quality material has greater resistance to abrasion and tears to stand up to the rigorous demands of professional use. Laboratory tests have demonstrated the high quality and superior physical properties of SPRI tubing. The handle plug (black rubber coating on end of tube) provides extra protection and strength against tears. SPRI's Flex-Motion Handles (sold separately) featuring Smart-Lock Technology to quickly, easily and safely change resistance tubes and customize your workout in seconds. Perfect for use in strength-conditioning, Pilates, physical rehabilitation as well as today’s hottest workouts including: CrossFit, P90X, P90X2, Slimin6, Insanity, Les Mills, TurboJam, Jillian Michael’s Body Revolution and many others.
Until the early 1980s, rubber resistance products were mainly used for physical rehabilitation purposes. Then SPRI introduced the SPRI Xertube with looped tubing handles for upper-body use and SPRI Xercise Bands for lower-body use. These products allowed instructors to easily and cost-effectively lead large groups in resistance training for health, fitness, and performance applications. The demand for rubber resistance products ? and the ever-expanding training needs of instructors ? quickly grew in the ’90s. The industry continued to push for more advanced products. SPRI started producing “dipped” tubing, the purest and most resilient form of rubber tubing available (compared to weaker “extruded” tubing). Why Braided? The braided rope-like construction makes it the toughest tube on the market. Use the SPRI braided tubing indoors or out, wrap them around, under, over. They’re tough enough to take whatever you throw at them. The upgraded handle not only provides comfort, but also allows all four tubes to come through the connector independently, making the Braided Xertubes durable enough for any training environment, allowing it to stand up to even the most demanding strength training. While researching ways to improve rubber resistance tubing, SPRI discovered that four is better than one ? four tubes, that is. SPRI’s unique braided tubing harnesses the strength of a dependable, time-tested, rope-like construction that weaves four high-quality dipped tubes together into a taut, braided configuration. These larger, stronger braided tubing products share the load across all four tubes rather than a single tube. They’re attached with a patented four-hole connector so that each tube is secured independently of the others. The result is a more resilient, longer-lasting rubber resistance training tool that’s effective for even the most demanding, high-tension, increased-velocity movement patterns, such as with advanced sports conditioning.
