What is Far Infra-Red Waves? Is it SAFE?

Light consists of a full spectrum of waves that are both visible and non-visible to our naked eye. Within this spectrum are very short waves (in the order of micrometers, or commonly known as microns) such as Xray to the visible light waves (0.75 microns) to the radio waves. Some of the wave ranges are harmful to our body such as Xray, Gamma Rays and Ultraviolet (UV) rays, while some simply passes right through us (radiowaves).

Infrared (IR) waves consist is a spectrum of the light, the Near IR , Mid IR and Far IR, that falls close to the visible range (about 1 micron wavelength). It has an appropriate penetration power on human tissue, going deep about 2 inches within our skin. At each of the Near-Mid-Far IR ranges, our tissue cells readily absorb the waves and releases the energy as heat to the deep tissues, warming up the body. With all these waves at work in our body, we term them as the Vitaheat waves.

Heating therapy exists in forms such heat stones used in spa treatments to heat packs that warmed with boiling water. While these therapies do provide a level of usage relief, the true benefits are rarely attributed to the user as the heat rapidly wears off. The lack of temperature control and its short-term use does not provide users their full-intended benefit.

Vitaheat utilizes designed heating elements that generate focused full spectrum infrared wavelength energies and allows proper and sustained control of the temperature. Even the waves generated at low temperatures of 38 degrees (the normal human body temperature) easily penetrates the tissue, warming our body without making the users feel warm. You can still sweat even at such low temperatures of 38 degrees.
