The Orange Blossom Liquid Marseille Soap is produced in France by a Master Soapmaker. Marseille, capital of the Provence and France's oldest city, is a gateway to the Mediterranean sea and the birthplace of Marseille soap. Back in 1688, Louis XIV - known as the Sun King, ruler of the Kingdom of France - carved the name « Savon de Marseille » into stone. From that day on, the century-old recipe for Marseille soap, brought back by crusaders from Aleppo, would remain the same for generations to come. Nowadays, our master soapmakers still use their ancestors' recipe to produce our natural products (no paraben, no palm oil, no sulfate and no animal fats). Freesens has kept the traditional manufacturing process - vegetable oils cooked in a cauldron - and transformed the bar soap into a convenient bottle, ideal for daily-use.
