Growth Habit:
Adapt to the characteristics of wet cold in winter and dry heat in summer.
It has summer dormancy and begins to grow and form stems and leaves, and flowering from March to April when the temperature is above 5°C in the first two months of the second year after low temperatures in winter.
Appropriate growth and flowering temperature of 15 ~ 20 °C.
Flower bud differentiation occurs when the stems and leaves turn yellow and the bulbs are dug out of the pot and stored in a cool outdoor room during summer. The optimum temperature for differentiation is 20-25°C, and the highest temperature should not exceed 28°C.
The tulip is a long-day flower that like sunny and sheltered, warm and humid in winter, and cool and dry in summer.
Above 8 °C to normal growth, generally resistant to -14 °C low temperature.
Cold resistance is very strong, but afraid of heat.
Requires rich, loose, fertile, well-drained slightly acidic sandy loam.
Avoid alkaline earth and continuous cropping.
