What is diatomaceous earth

It is a sedimentary rock consisting of ancient phytoplankton (diatom) shell fossils.

The diatom shell is made of silicon dioxide (SiO 2) and is the main constituent of diatomite.

Outstanding water absorption

Diatomaceous earth absorbs the moisture attached to the mat instantaneously by numerous microscopic holes made of porous material, and when moisture absorbed reaches a certain amount, it releases moisture by autonomous breathing.

Care

※ When using for the first time, the surface may feel a little powdery, but it is a diatomaceous earth powder which must be inevitably attached at the time of manufacturing.

Please use after washing lightly.

* To use comfortably, we recommend that you dry in the shade 1 or 2 times a week.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend once in a week in summer and once in three days in winter.

Drying in the sun or the heating machine is not good.

When not in use, we recommend that you stand upright in a well-ventilated place.

※ As the number of times of use increases, holes on the surface will cause clogging.

If the water absorption drops, scrape the surface thinly with the supplied sandpaper and remove dirt, the water absorption will recover.

After processing with sandpaper, please use after washing with water and drying.

※ Do not use detergent or soap containing surfactant.

It may cause clogging, breakage, mold failure.

※ When washing with water for a long time, it may deform too much by absorbing moisture.

* Avoid places where direct hot water or water is required, or use in the bathroom.
