This walking velociraptor can walk, roar, shake, and even has light up eyes! The dinosaur is powered by 3AA batteries which are included. The controller required 3 AA batteries but those were not included. When we pulled out the box, my nephew couldn't wait to rip it open! By pressing the side of the dinos body (there is a little button) he was able to see and hear what the dino would do before even taking it out. Since the remote only had two buttons, he caught on fairly quickly on how to make it do certain things. This dinosaur looks just like one of the ones that they had for rides, so they were super excited. It was easy to put together, just snap the tail on per the directions. The controls are so unique, having dinosaur skeletons on it and they are super easy to control the dinosaur, everyone from my twin 4 year olds to my 38 year old self had so much fun playing wth this toy! I love the lights and the sounds, it makes it so much more realistic! The controller has buttons for leg and head movement, and you can make it roar and shake by pressing a button on its body. You can light up the eyes with a switch. The roar is loud and realistic sounding, and my Chihuahua becomes angry when it roars. The body is sturdy ABS plastic and able to take some hard use. I ended up (reluctantly) giving this terrific toy to my 11 year-old neighbor…and he loves it!
