Marbella MX5 is Full HD 720P G-Sensor Vehicle Recorder with 2.7" TFT LCD Screen and a class leading wide angle lens of 160 degree. Marbella MX5 will be your road eye for everything occurs while you are driving and design to be perfectly fitted for all your security applications.

Displays

Marbella MX5 come with a 2.7" TFT display panel ,I partiality like having a screen on my dash cam because I can do any setting instantly ,I no need to go through any devices to adjust some setting .Other than that ,it reassure me that the camera is recording ,some of the dash cam come with a LED light blinking on the device ,but I afraid after any accident just realise is only a stand by mode .Having a screen behind is good for you to adjust the angle ,make sure your dash cam is record the position you want to ,record all the important details .For this recorder ,it have a timeout function will turn off the screen itself after 3 mins (depend on your settings) ,it mean that you won't get distracted by the device when you driving at the night time.

Loop Recording

Every camera has this feature, but it's worth explaining. Rather than having you replace the camera's microSD card every 3-4 hours or so, these cameras, upon filling a card to capacity, overwrite the oldest footage with the newest. When any impact happens, you can pull over to the side of the road, turn off the camera, eject the card, and you'll able to transfer or play back the video on the spot on the device.

To organize this overwriting cycle, cameras record in segments, and the setting is adjustable. Setting your camera to record in 3 mins segments, for example, will produce a spread of 3 mins Full HD videos when you view the footage on the device or a computer .So you don't have to worry about lack of storage ,cause the device will always overwrite itself.

Night Vision

No camera will work as well at night as it does during daylight, but you want a camera that has strong enough resolution and clarity to function in the dark. This is just an extension of the lens and sensor capabilities.

From the testing I've done and experience using other forms of cameras, dash cams generally have extremely disappointing nighttime clarity. Even with the $500-600 models, the street lights are flared and blown out and it's difficult to read license plates on nearby cars since my headlights would cause a glare. If your car has headlights, you're set.

Auto Start and Shut down

Majority of the users never unplug the cable from the power supply ,this device will switch on and start recording when it get power supply ,you don't have to manually press the on/off and the record button for recording .When shuting down the device are the same ,you don't have to press the off button to stop it ,cause every time after you swtich off your engine ,this device will switch off itself after 10 secs .It make us a lot more convinient .

Gravity Sensor

Gravity Sensor is what we called G-Sensor ,it stand a very important role on dash cam market .

How does it work ?

When it detect shock or impact during accident or collision ,this function will activate automatically ,it'll lock the particular 3mins segment ,and save to another file (lock file) .All the video in this file ,unable to overwrite itself ,you have to delete manually.

Motion Detection

Most of the people ,they only switch on this motion detection when the car is stationary.

How does it work ?

All you have to do is you have to plug-in power supply to the device ,you can either use powerbank with cable to charge it or go any car workshop to do installation .So after this device get power supply even the car is switch off ,when it detect any movement or motion passby infront of the lens ,this fucntion will activate itself and start recording for 1 segment (3 mins) and stop .

Installation

Setup:
You can either self-install or make apponitment to the car workshop for installation (extra charge)
If you going to self-install :

Step 1 : Find a place for you camera

There have few places you can install your dash cam ,but we are recommend placing your dash cam behind your rear view mirror .This is the best position for you cause the dash cam won't be that obvious or distract your view .Make sure your dash cam is centered ,can record the number plate of the car in front of you.

Step 2 : Hide the power cable
You have to run the wire from top to the side and to the bottom ,like the image is showing .If you have that kind of knowledge ,you can open up the side panel ,hire your wire inside the panel ,then you won't see any wire .Else you have to run the wire outside the panel ,but make sure the wire are not that messy and not dangling in front of you.

Step 3 : Get power supply
Lastly ,plug in the power cable along the foot ,plug in to the cigaratte lighter socket ,then is ready to go .Every time when you swtich on your car ,this device will activate automatically and recording ,when you swtich off your engine ,it'll shut down after 10 secs.

Are we need GPS function on our dash cam?

After covering dash cams for more than a year, I haven't found any reason to value GPS functionality. That said, a majority of manufacturers have added GPS chipsets to their cameras as an enticing upsell, but I cannot imagine a scenario in which the data would be beneficial. Actually, that additional info could be a problem.
Going back to the basic purpose of a dash cam (evidence in case of an accident), there is generally no argument over the location. Besides visual cues from the footage like road signs, you wouldn't flee the scene of the collision—unless you were the perpetrator, in which case, the dash cam would only prove your transgressions.
Cams with GPS typically calculate and record your estimated speed. This can potentially be a bad thing. For instance, you're involved in a collision for which the other driver is inarguably at fault as the video shows, but miles back while approaching the intersection, you were, however benignly, breaking the speed limit by five or ten miles per hour. That information would go into consideration when the insurance company or police reviewed the tape.
We don't condone unsafe driving, but your insurer and local police follow the letter of the law rather than the spirit. Basically, GPS has almost no discernible benefit but a considerable potential for self-incrimination.
